Littleport and Southery
North of Ely, the A10 bypasses Littleport and runs across open fen past Southery and Hilgay, with drains alongside and few lay-bys. Fog is common on autumn and winter mornings. If you stop, get everyone out on the verge side and well away from the car, and keep your hazard lights on.
Cambridge end
South of Ely, the A10 carries heavy commuter traffic into Cambridge past Stretham, Waterbeach and Milton. At the Milton interchange it meets the A14. Tell us the nearest village or roundabout. See Ely and Cambridge.
Taking the car home from the A10
If you break down on the A10 a long way from home, we can take the car to a local garage in Ely, Downham Market or King’s Lynn, or all the way home. You hear the price for the whole trip before we set off. See car transport.
FAQ
Straight answers
How long does it take you to reach the A10?
It depends where on the road you are and where the nearest truck is. We give you an honest arrival time on the call.
Is there 24 hour recovery on the A10?
Yes, between Cambridge and King’s Lynn. You hear the price and an honest arrival time on the call.
What if the A10 is foggy and I have broken down?
Get everyone out on the verge side, well away from the car, and keep your hazard lights on. Fog makes a stopped car much harder to see.
